Derek brings a broad background in compensation valuation, business valuation, and valuation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment to PYA’s clients. With a focus on serving health systems and physician practice groups, he has conducted and completed valuations of hospitals, physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, cancer centers, imaging centers, and management services organizations. Derek has also completed hundreds of compensation valuation projects related to all forms of physician services. His work in healthcare valuation also includes experience in reimbursement, strategy, and transactional matters.
Derek earned a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Carson-Newman University and a certificate of completion from the Advanced Multidisciplinary Healthcare Valuation Education Program. He is a member of the American Society of Appraisers and American Association of Provider Compensation Professionals. Derek authors articles and presents webinars on healthcare valuation topics.
