Barry is a visionary, results-oriented, senior-level healthcare executive with demonstrated experience in planning and implementing information technology solutions. He is adept at strategic development, project and crisis management, and negotiation. Barry’s strong technical capabilities combined with outstanding presentation skills have made him a high-demand speaker nationally at many conferences and events.

Barry earned Systems Programming qualification and was a Computer Sciences School honor graduate from the United States Marine Corps. He was awarded the Armed Services Communications and Electronics Association Honor Award. As a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, his direct and to-the-point communication style has made him a highly-sought-after mediator and negotiator in the healthcare IT industry. Barry also frequently contributes to healthcare information systems and IT risk management thought leadership articles and white papers. Barry is involved with the Health Care Compliance Association, Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors, Healthcare Information Management Systems Society, and Information Systems Audit and Control Association. He serves as the chairman on the Board of Visitors for the University of Tennessee College of Emerging and Collaborative Studies.
