PYA is pleased to announce the promotion of Sarah Bowman to Principal within its Compliance Advisory Services team, as well as the addition of new hire Jean Bartman as a Principal serving on its Tax Services team.
“Sarah has demonstrated a clear ability to advise on complex revenue integrity/revenue management and regulatory compliance matters; and Jean is an accomplished tax executive with a wealth of experience in leading teams that help clients oversee their business tax functions,” said PYA President and CEO Marty Brown. “We are delighted to showcase the skills and expertise of these women in our firm and look forward to not only having them serve in key leadership positions, but also leveraging their talents to assist our clients.”
Sarah Bowman, a proven leader with more than 15 years of healthcare and operational process redesign experience, has been promoted to Consulting Principal. Working as a subject-matter expert, she provides advisory services in the areas of revenue integrity, revenue management, and regulatory compliance. Within the revenue integrity space, her work often involves the integration of coding and reimbursement in physician/hospital financial and strategic modeling, business valuations, physician compensation modeling, and productivity assessments. She assists clients with regulatory compliance matters related to the 340B program and proxy work RVU analyses. In the revenue management space, Bowman leads initiatives related to commercial payer contracting and black box reimbursement.
Bowman is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Health Information Management Association, Tennessee Health Information Management Association, and the Health Care Compliance Association. She is a registered Health Information Administrator and is certified in Healthcare Compliance. She holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from the University of Tennessee.
Jean Bartman joins PYA as a Tax Services Principal. She has more than three decades of experience leading professional teams and helping clients oversee corporate tax functions. Bartman serves as a strategic advisor to PYA’s state and local tax clients, and also provides insight as a thought leader on the impact of changes in government regulations.
Bartman is a current member and past board member of the Nebraska chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth as well as a member of the Development Committee and past Board of Directors of the College of St. Mary. She is an Advisory Board Member and Chair Elect of the University of Nebraska’s Omaha School of Accounting. Bartman holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Nebraska.
