Green Light. Red Light. Now What? Webinar Revisits ICD-10 Timeline

With clocks ticking and days elapsing, the healthcare industry marched forward toward an October 1 deadline for ICD-10 implementation. In late March, a piece of legislation that passed the Senate and was signed by the President, left providers scratching their heads about what comes next.

Given these developments, healthcare associations have responded quickly with efforts to keep ICD-10 preparation moving forward. The Tennessee Medical Group Management Association (TMGMA) is partnering with two of PYA’s consultants, Linda ClenDening and Valerie Rock, to offer an ICD-10 Updated Timeline webinar for TMGMA members as part of an ICD-10 users group.

The webinar takes place Friday, May 16, 2014, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. CDT and will focus on:

  • Updated industry timeline information from CMS and other payers.
  • Practice manager timeline and checklist tools – how to take advantage of the extended timeframe to maximize practice readiness.
  • Introduction of an online TMGMA ICD-10 User Group Listserve resource.

An online help desk resource for practice-specific ICD-10 questions will be available in the months following the webinar. More information on this resource is forthcoming from TMGMA.

If you have questions about ICD-10, contact the experts listed below  at PYA, (800) 270-9629.
