The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has published the annual final rules for the hospital inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS), long-term-care hospital PPS, skilled nursing facility PPS, inpatient rehabilitation facility PPS, inpatient psychiatric facility PPS, as well as the hospice payment rate update. The rules were effective October 1, 2022. During a GHA webinar, “Fiscal Year 2023 Final Rules: Are You Ready for October 1st?,” PYA Principal Martie Ross and Senior Manager Kathy Reep explained key changes in these final rules and the various provisions’ impact on Georgia hospitals, as well as how providers should prepare for them.
